Lladro's Intimate Evening of Fine Porcelain Artistry

Millionaireasia and Lladró provided selected members with the opportunity to witness celebrated Spanish artist breathe life into one of Lladró’s unique porcelain pieces. Lladró flew in artisan Maria Jose Bustos who captivated guests with her incredibly intricate work. Maria has worked with Lladró since she was 15 years old and is one of 45 talented artists entrusted to create Lladró’s famous porcelain flowers. Guests looked on in awe as each flower slowly took on shape, created literally petal-by-petal in Maria’s gifted hands. The piece Maria was working on contained over 250 flowers and Maria explained that the flower work alone on this piece would take her approximately 5 days, non-stop to create. Members gained a rare insight into the level of craftsmanship, dedication and passion that goes into each of their unique pieces and is at the heart of the Lladró brand.
